from hell to the sinki to copenhagen copenhagen acclamation mark

so here we are now, in copenhagen - finally taking some rest, because we've been travelling quite a lot the last few days. as we said, we left tallinn on the 25th of august. we took the ferry to helsinki quite early in the morning to spend the day in the city. markus - a guy from germany which we met in our hostel in tallinn - came with us and we checked out the city a little bit and had indian lunch together :) then he decided to go up to the north of finland - we still don't know which way he opted for: hitch hiking or interrailing... :) we wish him all the best - may he be safe :)

helsinki is actually a nice city, tough we had only a few impressions. we saw the "design district" - there were arty shops (expensive of course) and there was a record store in which we had to spend an hour of course ;) we saw a lutherian church, on a vast square, which was quite impressive - and then we got lost on our way back to the next ferry. we just walked along the wrong harbour... they all look quite similar - that's why.

but we arrived on time to catch the ferry - back again to stockholm. a city which we never really gave a chance. wheter we spent a night at mc donalds or we scheduled not enough time. this time we only saw the ferry-terminal and the train station. but that was enough... :) we took the train to malmö and from malmö the train to copenhagen. finally. here ben and line picked us up from the trainstation. (ben: patrick and ben met in varkala - and bensch, patrick and ben spent new years eve together and saw ryan adams (!) in munich - so we all know each other, line: ben rents a room in her apartment for the time he is studying in copenhagen) we quickly became friends as line is really wonderful and letting us (ab)use her apartment for cooking, showering and cleaning our dirty interrail-clothes ;) we spent the time pretty laid back walking round in the city, walking ben to the administrative stuff he has to do concerning his studies here and cooking, eating, drinking, playing cards, talking, sleeping...

thanx to ben and line for a wonderful time time acclamation mark

well, and today is our last day here in denmark. we will check out an indian restaurant before we leave and make our way to amsterJam... :)

so stay tuned
be safe
